Fermilab TARGET Program


The program will run June 25 to August 3, 2012. Application materials will be mailed to high school mathematics, science and guidance department chairs no later than December 13, 2011.  We will begin accepting applications on January 2, 2012.

The application deadline is Monday, April 2, 2012.

Please submit your complete application package in one mailing, via the U.S. mail only (faxes, emails, & walk-ins are not accepted), to Mrs. Sandra Charles, TARGET Program Manager.  The mailing address for Mrs. Charles can be found on the “Fact Sheet” below.  The completed application package must be received at Fermilab by close of business April 2, 2012.

2012 Complete Application Package:

  • 2012 Application
  • Personal Statement (see page 3 of the 2012 Application for detailed instructions)
  • Official Transcript (copies of Transcript are not acceptable)
  • 2 Evaluations of Applicant Forms (completed by Applicant’s Math and Science Teachers, must be put in a sealed envelope by Teacher completing form)

Recommendation Letters are optional and must be put in a sealed envelope by the party writing the letter.  The sealed letter of recommendation must be mailed by the applicant in the envelope with all application materials listed above.

Applicant interviews will be held on the following dates:
April 17, 2012 (Tuesday) in Chicago (Location to be determined)
April 19, 2012 (Thursday) at Fermilab (Wilson Hall One North Conference Room)
 
Program acceptance letters will be mailed or emailed by May 4, 2012.
