1. How long does it take to process my resume?
When you submit your resume online for a posted opening, it is available for view by the Recruiter on the online system. Depending on the volume of applicants, the time to process your resume will vary. The recruiter will review your resume to determine if your skills match the position's qualifying criteria. If your skills match an opening, the resume is forwarded to the appropriate hiring manager who will then review it and decide if there is further interest in your candidacy.

2. How long do you keep my resume on file?
Our job announcements have open and close dates. If you are deemed qualified and selected for an interview, you may be contacted shortly after the job announcement close date and would then be invited to submit an application. The resumes are active for the duration for each specific opening and not maintained after the close date. You must resubmit your resume for future openings.
3. How often do you update the job posting?
Jobs are posted real-time as they open for hire.
4. Is Fermilab is a government facility?
Fermilab is a private employer who operates under a contract with the Department of Energy.
5. Do I need a security clearance to work at Fermilab?
No.
6. Do I have to be a U.S. citizen to work at Fermilab?
