Benefits Planning - Wilma Cardona, Manager
The Benefits Planning Office is responsible for researching, planning, negotiating, evaluating, implementing, and updating the provisions of the Laboratory’s Employee Benefits Programs, including all of the health and welfare and pension plans. Keeping the Summary Plan Descriptions and master plan documents updated. This office is responsible for the Retiree Drug Subsidy Plan, updating and maintaining the Notice of Privacy Practices for the Laboratory to keep us in compliance with changes in the law.
Benefits Administration – Mary Todd, Manager
The Benefits Administration Office administers the Lab’s health and welfare and pension plans. The Office provides resources and assistance to employees on benefit related matters, including plan enrollment and claim processing. The Recreation Office designs and coordinates recreational programs and activities for Lab employees, users and visitors. Maintenance of the Recreation Facility, Village Pool and outdoor fields and courts are also the responsibility of the Recreation Office. The Children’s Center provides Day Care for Lab and DOE children.
The Fermilab Education Office provides programs at the Lederman Science Center for K-12 teachers, students and their families by offering workshops, research appointments, field trips, tours and science classes, hosting web-based instructional resources and managing the Teacher Resource Center.
Employee/Labor Relations - Juanita Frazier, Manager
The Employee/Labor Relations Office counsels employees and managers on performance problems, progressive discipline and termination matters, manages the performance appraisal process, negotiates union contracts and handles union grievances, administers the employee service recognition program and updates all human resources policies and procedures.
Employment Office - Juanita Frazier, Manager
The Employment Office recruits and hires for all non-scientific positions at the Lab, conducts new employee orientation, relocates new hires and conducts all exit interviews.
Equal Opportunity Office - Dianne Engram, Manager
The Equal Opportunity Office oversees affirmative action and equal opportunity programs, investigates and manages discrimination complaints and charges, coordinates summer work/education programs for minorities and provides the Employee Assistance Program.
Human Resource Services - Borys Jurkiw, Manager
Human Resource Services manages and administers compensation programs for all employees, maintains all employee records, processes all employee visa actions, and provides services through the Users and Arts Booking Offices.
Office for Professional and Organization Development - Barbara Brooks, Manager
The Office for Professional and Organization Development provides training in the areas of technical and professional development, administers the tuition reimbursement program, manages the Training and Development Center, maintains Fermilab training records and prepares training reports.
