Training Center

The training center is located on the right side of Road A-1, one mile North of Wilson Hall. See map for directions. The Training Center has three classrooms:

The Computer Training Room
The state-of-the art Computer Training Room was constructed in September of 2000. It includes 16 workstations, a ceiling mounted projector, two wall mounted whiteboards, and a sound system. Each workstation is a 2 GHz Pentium IV with 256 MB of RAM, a 20 GB hard drive, a CD drive, a floppy drive, and a 100Mbit network connection. The PCs can be networked or isolated, depending on the requirements of the class.

The Large Classroom
The Large Classroom can accommodate 24 participants. The room is equipped with a ceiling mounted projector, a sound system, a combination DVD/VCR, and flip charts. There are eight network ports available.

The IITV Room
This room is reserved exclusively for Fermilab employees taking IIT courses remotely. It has two decoders, two TVs, one headset, and two separate phone lines. The classroom is able to accommodate two IIT classes simultaneously.

Other Fermilab departments may use the Computer Training Room and the Large Classroom when they are not in use by the Office for Professional & Organization Development. If you need a room for a Fermilab training function, please send a request form to the Office for Professional & Organization Development.
